Dashin' Dogs

What a show - a whole week of classes for both Meg and Amber (since I decided that Corker was too stressed to compete in agility at shows - bless him!)
Meg managed at least a class a day, picking up a clear round rosette in one class, and a 7th place in Anysize jumping in another class! At 12 years old she still has all the enthusiasm of youth, even if her legs are not as fast as in the past, and she doesn't always take the course set by the judge...
Amber had Senior classes all week, and what great courses the judges designed for us. There wasn't a single course I didn't like, and we managed 6 clears, although not in the top 3, so clear round rosettes only. Amber was a bit flat and tired all week, so I was really pleased that she was only beaten by Advanced dogs when we went clear.
I judged Large, Medium and Small Novice Agility on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it as usual. From the comments made to me after the classes, the competitors had a good time too! There was a really good standard of entry, with the best dogs ready for a move up to Senior, and the newbies showing great promise for the future.
Then it was time to pack up and set off for south Wales and the Pembrokeshire show....
